On stage with Katie Piper!

December 7th, 2016

Katie Piper is a burns survivor, charity campaigner, TV presenter and total inspiration to me and thousands of other people all over the world. Read more about Katie’s story and charity foundation here

I have been lucky enough to know Katie for many years and I was absolutely delighted when she asked me to present on stage with her at The Ideal Home show at Christmas London’s Olympia.

Katie’s stage show was focusing on how to feel confident within yourself. Katie also showed the audience how to wear sequins and sparkles in different ways for the Christmas season.

For my part in the show I gave my top tips on make-up for Christmas parties, Katie and I picked a lucky audience member to come up on stage for a mini make-over! I was using XIP Professional make-up as they have some gorgeous products that are ideal to give you a golden glow under the mistletoe.

Styling for Britain’s Next Top Model

November 27th, 2015

When I heard the news Britain’s Next Top Model was returning for a new series I was so excited as it is a show I have watched for many years. BNTM is also a show that I have always wanted to work on so I was delighted to join the team this year as a fashion stylist. Until the show airs in the New Year I can not reveal too much, but take a look at the new judges and check out a few of my behind the scenes photos!

I can’t wait to show you the outfits and tell you more, but in the mean time I would like to say a massive thank you to Clare’s Accessories, Pretty Little Thing.com and New Look for lending me some amazing clothes and accessories for the show.

Finally a massive thank you to my very good friend and talented style assistant- Donna Leigh Bolt

JUDGES-7

Look who’s back…it’s Abbey Clancy. The model Mum of two is returning to where it all began, as she takes her place as a head judge alongside Paul Sculfor on the new series of Britain’s Next Top Model. As someone who has literally walked in these girls heels, there is no-one better to guide our aspiring models through the fashion challenges, photo shoots and catwalks that is Britain’s Next Top Mod

Paul Sculfor – Britain’s first male `super model` Paul Sculfor has experienced the challenges the fashion industry brings and his advice to the girls will be honest and invaluable. Like Abbey, Paul is no stranger to Britain’s Next Top Model having mentored and guest judged on series 8 of the show.

Hilary Alexander OBE is fashion royalty so expect some straight talking from her if she doesn’t like how the models are performing. A firm favourite with the fashion elite, her credentials and expertise make her an exciting addition to the Top Model panel.

Nicky Johnston is a long term friend of the programme having photographed on every series. His tough talking approach and his witty one liners have made him a popular expert with the previous girls and the audience.

New photo-shoot with Joanna Cleeve

November 20th, 2015

It’s been a few years since I last had professional photos taken for work. After meeting a very talented young photographer called Joanna at my friend Laura Hamilton’s charity baby shower, I was delighted to have the chance to work with her on a new shoot.

For the shoot we used Joanna’s home studio, then travelled to the Walled Garden in Midhurst and finally Petworth Park, which is absolutely stunning.

It was such a treat to have my hair and make-up done for the shoot!Joanna arranged for my hair to be blow-dried by Karen Williams from Mane Street in Midhurst and for my make-up to be done by Marcie Simmonds who also works at Mane Street.

Some of the items of clothing worn during my shoot whilst in The Walled Gardens and Petworth Park was been supplied by Stepping Out in Midhurst.

Below is a selection of some of the photographs taken by Joanna.

Please take a look at Joanna’s website to see more of her work, I highly recommend her services.

Dinner at Gilgamesh

September 14th, 2015

Eating out is one of life’s great pleasures and I love having the opportunity to try new cuisine and visit new restaurants. Gilgamesh is an award winning Pan- Asian restaurant in London that I had heard of many times but never been to until I was recently invited along with my friend Josie Gibson and our lovely agent Pete for dinner.

We all had an amazing evening and the food was just to die for! We had lots of different taster dishes to share and try and for my main meal I opted for Tofu curry with pineapple and coconut rice. Even writing about the food now is making my mouth water, I can not recommend Gilgamesh highly enough. The restaurant itself is just stunning and  lies within the heart of Camden Market.

The Daily Mail online picked up on our visit and the coverage is below.

I had many nice comments on the dress I was wearing which is from Oasis- I really loved it as I like the sophisticated length and the beautiful floral print.

The dress is still available in store and online for £65

Sadly my natural tan has well and truly gone so Fakebake came to the rescue with one of their amazing spray tans- so thank you Fakebake!!! I opted for the Fakebake darker spray tan which I find always looks incredibly natural and lasts around 9 days. Find out more about Fakebake  here

Laura Hamilton’s Baby Shower- Hello Magazine

May 7th, 2015

My gorgeous friend Laura Hamilton recently hosted a charity dream tea baby shower at Sketch London in aid of children’s charity Dreams Come True. I was delighted to help Laura organise the event and arranged some pampering treats for her guests. Fake Bake treated guests to hand scrubs and massages with their new bath and body range. Lava shells sent a team of Lava Angels to offer gorgeous hot shell massages. Celebrity nail technician Sophia Stylianou and her assistant painted nails. Top beauty brands MeMeMe, Miners Cosmetics and The Vintage Cosmetic Company sent gifts for the goody bags.

The work of the Dreams Come True Charity that Laura’s event was in aid of is truly inspiring, they help to make wishes come true for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. To make a donation or to find out how you can host your own Dream Tea party to raise money for the charity, please visit their website.

Hello magazine covered the event and it was also picked up by The Daily Mail online.

Other guests included Sinitta, Kimberly Wyatt and Jasmine Harman.

Pearly Delights

March 6th, 2015

Pearls are timeless classics that never go out of style. For me when I wear pearls it always makes me feel a bit posher – ha ha! I recently discovered Jewellery brand Thomas Sabo, as a company they are best known for  sterling silver designs combined with pops of colour. They also have timeless pieces and statement accessories. I picked out this beautiful natural pearl stretch bracelet. It came delivered in such a stunning round box with black and white stripe design.

photo (12) photo (11)

Not only does this bracelet make a nice treat for yourself but it’s also a fab present. My only concern is that the bracelet did come up quite small so if you don’t have slim wrists this may not be suitable for you. RRP £29.99

Continuing with my pearl jewellery obsession I selected some pearl studs to match my bracelet from online retailer Hazel and Kent.

photo (13)

I love these delicate pearl studs  they are really dainty and feminine.  They are simple and chic to wear every day but also elegant enough to wear in the evening. I especially like this look when I wear my hair up as it makes me feel like Audrey Hepburn.

Showpo Gorgeous Summer Twin sets

February 23rd, 2015

For followers of my blog you will know that I am very partial to a two piece! As a girl with curves I find high waisted twin sets really flattering as drawing the eye to your smallest part is always a winner! With the warmer weather on the way I have recently discovered online shopping brand Showpo. They have a fantastic range of printed twin sets.

photo (7) photo (17)

I picked out this tie-dye style high waisted skirt and crop top. I am a UK size 8-10 and I went for a size small which is a great fit. I love the summery print of this fabric and cant wait to wear it in the summer. I feel this is a great set which can be dressed down for daytime with pretty sandals or worn for a special occasion with heels and a dainty clutch bag.  You can adjust the length of the crop top straps to ensure the perfect fit.

Blue Vanilla

February 7th, 2015

What can I say? I love a twin set and I have always been partial to polka dots. Well you can imagine my delight when this little outfit arrived in the post from one of my newest online fashion favs- Blue Vanilla…

photo (1)photo (4)

This is the Wendy 3D Loop polka dot co-ordinate set RRP £38

View online here

It’s so cute and I love that it can be worn as a set but also as separates. I am a size 8-10 and opted for size small which fits a treat. The skirt is stretchy due to the knitted fabric but it is quite a body con fit. The jumper has a loose fit but is still flattering as it is not overly baggy.

I have also been wearing the jumper with jeans and boots for a nice relaxed weekend look.

If you aren’t familiar with Blue Vanilla take a look at their website www.bluevanilla.com – they have some lovely pieces at a great price!
